Participants will arrive by 6:00 PM Sunday for the Welcome Supper, an informal dinner with introductions and delicious food prepared by Atlantic Center’s infamous Chef Tom. An after-dinner tour of Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) and its facilities will follow, before the real fun and hard work begins on Monday. A typical conference day will involve morning group sessions, followed by lunch and afternoon studio time. Craft discussions will be led on three afternoons. Mid-week days (Tues, Wed, Thurs) will offer participants a chance to arrange one individual conference with their faculty (at an additional cost of $125), either in the morning or afternoon.
Special activities including a cocktail party, offsite excursion to the New Smyrna Beach’s legendary JB’s Fish Camp, dance party, and open mic event will augment the week of intense writing among your peers. A morning yoga class will be offered in the ACA Dance Studio to interested participants for an additional charge. Departure on Saturday can be scheduled after breakfast or lunch.
